1. Who we are

BioBridge Internships Pvt Ltd ("BioBridge", "we", "us", "our") is a company incorporated in India, with its registered office in Bengaluru, Karnataka. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data of students, mentors, partners and visitors of www.biobridgeind.com and related services (the "Platform"), in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. Information we collect

Identity & contact data: name, email, phone, college, course, year of study, date of birth.
Account data: login credentials, profile photo, preferences.
Enrollment & payment data: selected program, duration, invoices, GSTIN (if any). Card / UPI / netbanking details are processed by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner (Stripe / Razorpay) and are never stored on our servers.
Learning data: module progress, submissions, mentor feedback, attendance, certificate IDs.
Technical data: IP address, device, browser, cookies, analytics events.
Communications: emails, WhatsApp / chat support messages, feedback forms.

3. How we use your data

Deliver internship programs, LMS access, mentor sessions and certificates.
Process payments and issue tax invoices.
Verify identity for certificate authenticity (QR / verification page).
Send transactional emails (enrollment, payment, certificate, password reset).
Send program updates and career opportunities (you can opt out anytime).
Improve curriculum, fix bugs, ensure security and prevent fraud.
Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data based on (a) your consent at sign-up and enrollment, (b) performance of the contract for the internship you purchase, (c) compliance with Indian law, and (d) our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Platform.

5. Sharing of data

We do not sell personal data. We share limited data only with:

Payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay) for fee collection.
Email and communication providers (Resend / Twilio / WhatsApp Business).
Cloud hosting and analytics providers under strict confidentiality.
Industry partners — only if you opt in for placement referrals.
Regulatory or law-enforcement authorities when legally required.

6. Data retention

We retain enrollment, payment and certificate data for a minimum of 8 years to honour certificate verification and statutory tax / audit requirements. Marketing data is retained until you opt out. Inactive accounts may be anonymised after 3 years of inactivity.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, role-based access controls, audit logs and regular backups. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password and protect your login credentials.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to access, correct, update, port and erase your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate a representative. Write to privacy@biobridgeind.com and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for login sessions and optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser.

10. Children

The Platform is intended for users aged 18 and above. Users between 16–18 may enroll only with verifiable parental consent.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The latest version will always be available at this URL with the revision date.
